In the first movie, the students access the school by boat so they didn't consider the need for a bridge connecting to the land. I haven't played the game yet but I think I know about the bridge.įor some reason, everything that references the movie Hogwarts uses the entirely incorrect 1st movie model. i suppose they added the viaduct bridge in the last film so this wouldn’t be the case. it’s one of the weird things about the game the entrance hall and the great hall are on the opposite side of the castle so when students arrive each year via the thestral carriages, they have to walk the length of the castle to reach the “entrance”. ![]() except our main difference here is that in the books, the north entrance is where the great hall and the marble staircase is, not the library and central hall. in the book, there is no viaduct bridge, the entrance of the school opens up onto a garden and a lawn - exactly like the north entrance to the school in the game. ![]() in the film, it is connected to the entrance courtyard, and then connects up to the mountain on the other side. the bridge that harry throws the wand off of is the viaduct bridge, but not the one in the game. ![]() The hogwarts legacy castle is a blend between between the films and the books, leaning more towards the books for the inside and the films for the outside (recognisable towers, courtyards, etc.).
